Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving fell on an appropriate time for me this year. I have so much to be thankful for.

I'm thankful that I got into college (Cal-State Fullerton)
I'm thankful that we can afford Cal-State Fullerton.
I'm thankful that I finally got my license.
I'm thankful that I am buying an affordable and a good car.
I'm thankful for the person selling me this car.
I'm thankful for all of the people who accept me and love me.
I'm thankful for my cat.
I'm thankful for the people who accept me as part of their families.
I'm thankful for every single one of my friends!
I'm thankful for my family and how much they love me no matter how many stupid jokes I tell.
I'm thankful that my fish is still alive.
I'm thankful that I found a great, Orthodox guy.
I'm thankful for my math teacher who refuses to let me get away with any grade less than a B.
I'm thankful for my computer and my PS2.
I'm thankful for my sisters.
I'm thankful for the people at St. Barnabas.
I'm thankful for my mom and dad.
I'm thankful for my faith in God.
I'm thankful for my home.
I'm thankful for St. Barnabas.
I'm thankful God loves me and has given me the chance to live.
I'm thankful for my life.

Heaven On Earth

Every once and a while, after something good happens or something leaves me with a feeling of rejoice and inexplicable joy, I feel as though God has given me a small taste of what heaven will be like.

It’s a comforting feeling, if it’s joyous to be in heaven, then wouldn’t it mean that every time humans feel pure, uncorrupted love or happiness, that we are being given a preview of the happiness and love in heaven?

I think it’s a nice thought, that God gives us joy in order to encourage us on our path to Him. Despite all of the struggle, it reminds me of the reward waiting for the righteous.
