House to myself

Parents are away, so I'm doing whatever normal teenager does when she has the house to herself. Clean. Oh yes. I got loads of laundry done, changed my sheets, vaccumed, bought flowers to "freshen" up the house, dusted and pulled a full-on hermit kinda thing before saying my prayers and turning in for the night. And you know what? I enjoyed it. And I'm pooped! Who needs partying...?

The Prodigal Son

The week of the Publican and the Pharisee is coming to an end. Now, the week of the Prodigal Son comes near.

I've gotta say, excepting the passion gospels, the Prodigal son is the only bible story that can bring me to tears. I'm no exactly sure why. But every time I hear the son say, "I'll arise and say to my father then, I have sinned and I'm no longer worthy to be called your son." Tears can well up in my eyes (and I'm not an emotional person).

Lord, help me to be worthy to be your daughter.

I have joined a very cool organization. The NAEYC, more specifically the CAEYC (NAEYC = The National Association of Education for Young Children)
(CAEYC = The California, etc.)

Members get a weekly newsletter, and are able to go to conferences about development of prenatal to kindergartners. I have been so excited since I heard about it. Especially because this month they are covering brain development in the infant.

I'm such a nerd.
